The availability of recyclable plastic waste is one of the most important factors. When collection rates are low or the quality of collected material is inconsistent, recyclers have to spend more time and money sorting, cleaning, and processing the feedstock. Despite the higher price levels, buyers continued to procure material because R-LLDPE remained necessary for many applications.
